What documents do I need to import into Sabah?
Usually a commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading or air waybill. Some goods also need import permits or certificates. NCT Forwarding & Shipping reviews your documents before the cargo ships so nothing is held at the port.
Should I ship FCL or LCL?
If your cargo fills most of a 20' container, FCL is often cheaper and faster. For smaller loads, LCL lets you share container space and pay only for the volume you use. NCT will price both when it's close.
How long does customs clearance take in Sabah?
Straightforward declarations clear quickly once documents are complete. Goods that need permits or inspection take longer. Your NCT quote includes a realistic timeline for your specific cargo.
Can NCT collect cargo from my supplier overseas?
Yes. Through partner agents NCT can arrange pickup at the supplier's door or port, depending on your Incoterms, and manage the shipment all the way to Sabah.
Do you handle cargo between Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia?
Yes. NCT moves cargo by sea and air in both directions between Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia, including clearance and delivery at each end.
